oh the joy having free time and feeling relaxed.
the short break is finally coming to an end but was an excellent way of recharging the batteries.
as noted above, today is the first of june and officially in Queensland, the first day of winter. And the temperature? 28 degrees centigrade. Bliss!
So how does one spend the first day of winter - well a bit of brekkie, a stroll down the Cairns promenade, passing fellow guests on the way, and stopping for a catch up with one the various amusing developments ongoing.
Then a trundle into town, a check of the e-mails, a purchase of small rucksack to carry additional items purchased over previous few days, and of newspapers with which to update oneself of developments worldwide whilst sipping on one's cocktail. Oh and checking the weather in London to compare temperature.
So at the beginnning of week 3 we are looking forward to the stage of life in Melbourne, the purchase of furniture for bedroom and lounge - almost sussed and the setting up of a new collection of kitchen miscellany. Looking for to a fun early morning start on Wednesday and also the approaching excitement of finally having easy access to the internet - oh please - vodafone - let me join!
Also plan in the pipeline for joining the gym, taking up yoga, learning web page design and bonding with a few more fellow Melbournians.
And and and Sex in the City film in out Thursday - I cannot wait!
And for those curious about the slightly bizarre title of this blog - ten years and counting - i was going to write a book with said title but have yet to get round to it - however as more time becomes available I feel an ever increasing urge to get started.
