Hoorah - at last - online and out there!
Well my one month anniversary and heck has it been a ride! Just had call from Freedom Furniture arranging to deliver bed frame, bedside drawers and coffee table tomorrow morning. And that is it - all done on the apartment front!
So today is going to be a bit of a rest and relaxation day.
Went to see Shine a light last night at the IMAX which was amazing - they have U2 on as well - hope to get to see that over the weekend. Also went to the Australian Centre for the Moving Image yesterday afternoon so see the exhibition they have on the history of gaming. Lots of games going on - was intriguing to see how things have developed since the early days. Even spotted a nintendo gameboy from 1989 which I had back then - playing tetris on the train into work! Inevitably there was a nintendo wii there and a couple of people playing tennis - was bemused to see there is going to be a bit of Wii tennis tournament in Federation Square at the weekend.
Also saw a new game in which you can use your hands as a controller for the direction you want to take. Where will it all end?
Had early morning brekkie with S today - bit of a shock to the system to get up before 7am but hey I coped just about. Was good to catch up and to learn a bit more about how things work over here - so not disimilar to uk is unreal.
Did a fair amount of web research on the sustainable leadership front so a bit of bed time reading on that in prep for the meeting next Wed. All looks very interesting.
Well better head off now - got to go to David Jones to ask them if I can return my recliner as it is the wrong shade of chocolate and is a bit too big for the room. Fingers crossed!
