Quick update from my oh so chocolatey living room, looking outside at the blue sky dotted with a odd high cloud and listening to the melodious tunes emanating from the radio of the builders working away across the road on their little housing development. Wouldn’t be so bad but they start at 7.30 and they are currently in the structure phase so a fair amount of clashing and banging as they construct the frame of what looks like two houses they are building.

Anyhow here we are and ‘tis Tuesday. Has been a busy few days, could do with a day off (tee hee). Well chuffed though with the progress am making. Was chuffed too to have sussed out how to download podcasts for free even though it is a bit of an involved thing to do. Was also bemused to have got chatting to a girl on the tram on Saturday who was from Leeds, not sure if I mentioned this in a previous blog. Just shows how small is the world. Saturday was the day for tram rides with interesting characters. In the morning, got on the phone to be greeted by a bloke talking loudly into his mobile. The conversation took the following line – “Where the bloody hell you been mate, I been phoning you!”, “What do you mean you had your phone off?”, “Well switch the bloody thing on, doesn’t cost you anything”, “What the doctor say?”, “So there’s nothing wrong with your blood?”, “Well you need to keep your phone on”, “I’m almost at the bloody hospital, bloody o’ mate I wish you have told me you been discharged!” – classic.

Yesterday was another not so bad not so bad day. Met up with J as he had a day off. We went to his place to see how work was progressing. He is having major renos done on his place including new kitchen and bathroom. Then showed him my apartment and then headed off to Armadale as there was an art deco shop which I wanted to look at. Got there and it was closed – did not open till 11 and we got there at – 11. Anyhow there were a few other similar shops round the region so we had a browse round them. Dropped him off and then headed into town for a stint on the net. Also had a look at mobile phone handsets. Still not sure what to go for – if only someone could design a nice simple phone without all the complicated gizmos attached.

P.S. By the time I had finished this the clouds had appeared, heck better to stick with the current title than something like - flip, is gonna rain!
